Obituary for William Frederick Rogers Jr.

William F. “Bill” Rogers, 83 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 with his family by his side in his home in Tequesta, Florida.
Bill was born in Newton, MA and served in the U.S. Navy. After graduating from Babson College, Bill worked in the packaging industry and discovered a need for safely shipping seafood by the airlines. Bill developed the first packaging for seafood shipment approved by Eastern Airlines. His designs were adopted throughout the industry. In his business career, Bill established Tech Pak Inc. and owned Lowell Bros. and Bailey, and Duval Molding. He also found success with the ownership of various commercial properties.
Bill enjoyed his retirement living in Kennebunk, Maine and Tequesta, Florida. Bill was an avid golfer and belonged to Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta, FL, Webhannet Golf Club, Kennebunk, ME, Winchester Country Club, Winchester, MA, and Mid Ocean Club, Bermuda. Bill also had a passion for cars. He was a member of the Gull Wing Group and the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. Bill had a true love for animals and enjoyed volunteering at animal shelters.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paula T. Rogers; his daughter Lisa Rogers Harrison, her husband David Harrison, and grandchildren William Harrison, and Emily Jane Harrison all of Kennebunk, ME. Interment will be in the spring in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk ME.
