Obituary for Louis Kashey Jr.
Louis Kashey, Jr., 83 years, died February 28th 2017 in his home in Kennebunk, Maine.
Louis was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 21st, 1934, the son of Louis and Grace (Shofi) Kashey, Sr. At the age of 2 his parents moved to the small town of Spotswood, New Jersey. He went to Rutgers University in New Jersey.
After moving to Maine he continued his education in Massachusetts and received his Master’s Degree. Louis was a fine arts specialist and made art his career. He traveled to Italy and France to study art and further his education. He taught at the University of New England and owned and directed the Biddeford Pool Fine Art Gallery.
He is survived by his sisters, Grace Hydrusko and Nancy Coyle.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME.
