Obituary for Ryan Patrick Collins

Ryan Patrick Collins, 45, passed away March 12, 2017.

He was born December 21, 1971, the son of Ronald F. and Linda Warren Collins, both of Wells, and is a graduate of Wells High School, where he was a 4 year member of the football and wrestling teams. He went on to attend the University of Maine for 3 years, where he studied his passion, World History, and political science.

Ryan was an avid reader, particularly about ancient history, which led him to develop his hobby of collecting Greek coins. He knew the names and stories of each emperor, and the dates they were in power. He loved music and playing the bass guitar, especially Grateful Dead. He love watching the Patriots, and was excited when they won Superbowl LI, proving once again they were the best team in the NFL.

Ryan worked as a cook for several local restaurants.

He is predeceased by his grandparents Jessie and William Collins and Dorothy and William Warren.

Survivors include the loves of his life, his daughter Cara Galadriel Collins and his son Conor William Collins, his parents Ronald and Linda Collins, his sister Erin Collins Kimball and her husband Matthew Kimball.

A private celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at a later date. To honor his life, the family encourages a donation to a local animal shelter or your favorite charity, or do an act of kindness towards someone in your community.

Spring interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.
