William Thomas “Bill” McGarry, 60, of Scottsdale, AZ died late Thursday night, April 6 at Plaza Healthcare. He was born in Schenectady, NY on July 30, 1956.

Bill opened The Perfume Shoppe in 1995 in Las Vegas, and expanded to multiple locations, including Orlando, and Perkins Cove. After selling the stores in 2006, he traveled extensively spending summers in Maine, and winters out west, always chasing optimal golf weather. Although his perfume business coined him the name “Perfume Billy,” his true passion was golf.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Jessica McGarry of New Milford, NJ; daughter, Christina Mosing and husband Bryn, of Lafayette, LA; son, Paul Renwick, his wife Charlene and grandson Jackson, of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Patrick McGarry of South Berwick, ME; three sisters, Susan Hague of Vero Beach, FL, Joan Mango of Scottsdale, AZ, Rita Hicks of Vero Beach, FL; former wife, Diane McGarry; and beloved friend and caregiver, Linda Mooney.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William Gerard and Claire Francis McGarry; and son, Daniel Stryker.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the Rosary being offered at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Wells.
