Obituary for Rachel Ellen Clark

Rachel Ellen Clark, 56, of Wells, Maine, passed away ,Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland . She was born in York, Maine on November 29, 1960, the daughter of John and Hannah (Murphy) Clark. She grew up in the Oakland, Bay Area, CA. graduated El Cerrito High School, and attended Contra Costa JR Community College. Rachel was a Chef, working at various restaurants and for several caterers in the San Francisco area. In 2010, she returned to the East Coast, first living in Massachusetts with her " SBSIL" Trish Garland and then in Wells.

Rachel could do just about anything. She had the greenest of green thumbs (and could make anything grow just by looking at it). She loved to read and write stories. She used her culinary skills in making the tastiest pickled vegetables, Jams and Jellies,many of which she sold at Spillers Farm Store in Wells, where she was a mainstay. A skilled artisan, she made her own jewelry and clothing, Hiking, Camping, snow shoeing,long walks on the beach and the outdoors were her passion. Rachel would do anything for anyone,even a perfect stranger, she had a heart, the size of the Moon.

She is survived by her brother, Nathan Silverman of Brockton, MA; her "SBSIL" Patricia Garland of Brockton, MA; and her nephews, Sean Silverman of Holden ME, Mark Garland Jr. of Brockton, MA; nieces, Erica Garland of Attleboro, MA, Kristen Rose (Jonathan) of Virginia Beach VA; and great nieces, Milani Jonas of Attleboro, MA and Kali Rose of Virginia Beach, VA.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells, where the Funeral Service will held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m..
