Arline L. Emmons, 79 years, a resident of Portland Road in Arundel, died May 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family, after a long illness.

Arline was born in Portland, ME on January 25, 1938, one of 15 children of Guy and Goldie (Beaumont) Young.

She graduated from Deering High School in Portland. She married Bertram “Buddy” G. Emmons in 1964 and together they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Arline was a stay-at-home mom for many years, and then worked at AT&T as a data entry clerk for over 15 years. She enjoyed going to antique car shows with Buddy and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Donny, Charlie and Gayle and by a step-daughter, Pam (Emmons) Meyers.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Emmons of Arundel; her sons, Stephen Emmons of Kennebunk and Todd Emmons of Lyman; her step-daughters, Sandra Emmons of FL and Susan Grimes of SC; her remaining brothers and sisters, Royce, Bob, Sylvia, Donna, Gloria, Delores, Paul, Janice, Allen, Gary and Guy; 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer.
