Obituary for Henry Lewis Hanscom Jr.
Kennebunk
Henry Lewis Hanscom, Jr., 69 years, of Kennebunk, died June 18, 2017 at Southern Maine Healthcare.
Henry was born October 31, 1947 in Biddeford, Maine the son of Henry and Thelma (Cousens) Hanscom. Henry grew up in Kennebunk and graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1965. Henry was a skilled carpenter and built and improved many homes in the Kennebunk area.
Henry was an accomplished hunter and avid fisherman. He enjoyed his time outdoors, riding around the beach and doing word puzzles. Most importantly, he loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Henry is lovingly remembered by his sons, Adam Jackson and his wife, Tara, of Wells, Wade Hanscom and his wife, Jocelyn, of Arundel and Rick Hanscom of Syracuse, NY; his daughters, Tammy Hanscom and Sara Hanscom of Syracuse, NY; his step daughter, Jenni Angel and her husband, Jeremy, of Waterboro, ME; his grandchildren, Natasha, Lindsay, Kalcey, Garrett, Colby, Grady, Andre, Gavin, Ella, Adam and Marissa; and his sister, Pam Daney of Shapleigh.
Services will be private.
