Obituary for Laura E. Palmer (Cole)

Dateline – Kennebunk

Laura E. Palmer, 89, of Kennebunk, died Monday morning, October 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born and raised in Kennebunk, a daughter of Fred W. Cole, Sr., and Grace J. (Gerrish) Cole.

Laura was a homemaker, and the widow of Ronald Palmer, who predeceased her in 2007.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Grace Parish; brothers Charles, Lloyd, Fred, and Stanley Cole; sisters Alberta Pierce, Freda Chadbourne, Fannie Webber, Effie Patch, and Iva Dowd; and stepdaughter, Ruth Palmer

Laura is survived by a brother, David Cole of West Kennebunk; a sister, Katherine Ames of Kennebunk; a sister-in-law, Stephanie Cole of Kennebunk; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, with Pastor Robert Cole, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Tory Hill Cemetery, South Buxton. Should friends choose, memorial donations in her name are encouraged to: Iris Network Serving the Blind, 189 Park Avenue, Portland, ME 04102.
