Obituary for Norma Marie White (Gerrior)

Norma Marie White, 87, of Sea Road, Kennebunk died Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Norma was born in Boston MA on August 25, 1930. She was the daughter of Louis Parkman and Marguerite (St. Anthony) Gerrior. She graduated from Needham High School and Boston University with a Bachelors of Science Degree.

In early years, Norma worked at a dental office in North Carolina and then soon moved to Colombia, SA where she enjoyed teaching English. After returning to the states she stayed home to care for her young family. When her children were older Norma worked at Peterson Jewelers and spent her free time traveling and volunteering. While in Maine she was a volunteer at the Animal Welfare Society in West Kennebunk and while in Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin, FL.

Norma’s first love was her family but she also enjoyed going to the beach, playing bridge, cooking, reading and spending time with her good friends. Her charismatic personality, sharp wit and sense of humor were beloved by all.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Fernald White, Jr. of Kennebunk; two sons Jaime Calvo and his wife Titita of Weston, FL and Christian ‘Toby’ Calvo and his wife Kristen of Ijamsville, MD; two daughters Marybeth ‘Nini’ Emmons and her husband Chris of Yarmouth, ME and Amy Godfrey Graves and her husband Andrew of Hamilton, VA; three step children William ‘Bill’ White and his wife Brenda of Arundel, ME, Sheila Hannon and her husband Tom of Duxbury, MA and Steven White of Sanford, ME; four sisters, Barbara Lincoln, Jane Ford and Pamela Linehan all of Naples, FL and Marybeth Magennis of Mashpee, MA; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in Maine and Florida at the convenience of the family.
