Obituary for Jean S. Dutch (Bolduc)
Jean S. Dutch, 80, of Sanford, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her residence following a period of failing health.
Jean was born February 6, 1937 in Old Orchard Beach, the daughter of Napoleon and Laurentine LaPlant Bolduc, and attended Old Orchard Beach Schools.
She held many different positions, but was most known for her work in the housekeeping department at Goodall Hospital and the 10 years she was employed at Eastern Plastics, based in Sanford.
Jean enjoyed different crafts, including those using plastic canvas and coloring, playing Bingo and singing Karaoke, especially if it was an Elvis song, keeping her life simple and spending time with her family. She always had room in her heart for someone who needed a little extra help and love.
She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth H. Dutch, who died in 2001, a brother Ralph Bolduc and step-brother Robert Bolduc, and sister Rita Olin.
Survivors include her son David Dutch and his wife Dottie, two granddaughters Jessica Giberti and her husband Marck and Nicole Noble and her husband Chris, all of Sanford, Brothers Roland, Raymond, and Donald, sisters Irene Daigle, Lucile Goodreau, Theresa Major and Cecile St. Ours, all of Biddeford, great grandchildren Marck Giberti Jr, Nick Giberti, Gavin and Gage Merrill, a great great granddaughter Alice Giberti , many nieces and nephews, and her adopted granddaughter Kelly Gomes and her husband Jody.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Greenwood for their excellent care that Jean received, they went above and beyond.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 4 -6 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St. Kennebunk, ME.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Center activities fund, 1142 Main St. Sanford, ME. 04073, in Jean’s memory.
