Obituary for Leon Arthur Morrill
Dateline – North Berwick
Leon Arthur Morrill, 90, of Berwick, died Wednesday evening, January 24, 2018 at Varney Crossing, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Berwick on May 26, 1927, the son of Charles Olin and Bessie Emma (Farrington) Morrill.
Leon was a dairy farmer for all his life. When not tending to the cows, he loved taking care of his vegetable garden, enjoying good food, and spending time with his family, especially during the holiday seasons. He was a member of the Riverside Grange, and the Farm Bureau.
Leon is predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn L. (Spittle) Morrill. They are now together again to celebrate what would have been their 69th wedding anniversary this week.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Morrill of North Berwick, Gary Morrill of Berwick; his daughter, Wendy Vigneault of Lebanon; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick. Should friends choose, memorial donations in his name are encouraged to: York Hospital Hospice, 127 Long Sands Road, York, ME 03909.
