Anna N.  Pippin (Frangus)
Anna N. Pippin, 92, of Kennebunk, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, January 27, 2018 at Riverridge Center in Kennebunk with her loving daughter by her side. She was born in Springfield, MA on April 12, 1925, one of six children born to Nickolas and Maria (Panaretos) Frangus.

Anna was the widow of Stirling B. Pippin, who predeceased her in 2007.

Throughout her husband’s career in the Insurance industry with assignments in Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Minnesota and Illinois, Anna served as an Executive Secretary in various places including Registrar of Deeds for Cumberland County, ME. She also worked at O’Hare airport in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul airport in Minneapolis, and the Immigration service at the former Pease Air Force base.

Anna and Stirling loved to travel, especially to Greece, and enjoyed the beach, ski trips, and family gatherings.

She is predeceased by two brothers, Louis and William Frangus; two sisters, Caliope Kosmas and Hellen Demetriou.

Anna is survived by her two children, Marianne Hawkins of Kennebunk, ME and John Pappas and wife, Becky, of Peabody, MA. Anna is the proud Yia Yia of Michael and his husband, Leo LaPlante, of Sarasota, FL, Darren Strempek and wife Kelly of Ludlow, MA, Jason Strempek and wife Kara of So. Burlington, VT, Meghan Pappas of Salem MA. Anna was “Great Grammy” to Nico and Damon Strempek of So. Burlington, VT, and Brody Strempek of Ludlow MA. She will be missed by her extended family of loving nieces, nephews, and stepchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Anastasia Manitsas of Weston, MA.

Visiting hours will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk with Proistamenos Rev. Fr. Timothy Curren presiding. Spring burial will be in the Greek Cemetery, Dover, NH.
