Obituary for Pauline Florence Chambers (Beauchemin)

Pauline Florence Chambers (Beauchemin)
Pauline Florence (Beauchemin) Chambers, 78 years, a resident of Arundel, passed away February 17, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. Pauline was born May 22, 1939 in Clarksville, New Hampshire. She was the daughter of Joseph and Dora (Rabitor) Beauchemin.

Pauline surrounded herself with family, attending many family gatherings, in which she was always asked to bring her world-famous carrot cake and peanut butter fudge. Pauline had an unwavering selfless love for her children, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, making it a point to attend lacrosse, hockey and basketball games, as well as baton competitions.

She had a competitive nature in sports as well, having played golf in her early years. She also enjoyed bowling, mini golf and zip lining, and always looked forward to an ice cream after the event. Pauline loved to travel, whether to visit family or vacation. In her spare time, she loved to spend time at Kennebunk Beach or Roger s Pond, taking in the serenity of the locations. She had a flare for water painting, and many of her paintings have been displayed in local galleries. She also had a great love for music and dancing.

Pauline worked locally at Kesslen Shoe, White Star Laundry and spent 22 years at Sprague Electric. Later in life, Pauline was particularly proud that she completed her GED as well as completing a hairdressing degree. She then completed her working career as a pharmacist technician at Omni Care in Westbrook.

Pauline is survived by her four children, Debra Chambers, Donna Kneeland, Suzanne Higgins and Robert Chambers, Jr., her grandchildren, great grandchildren, fourteen brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk.

Pauline’s family would like to thank the Sam L. Cohen Center in Biddeford, the Pavilion in Sanford and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough for the wonderful care they provided for Pauline.
