Over the years we had worked on camping and Christian Ed. projects together, and shared a common linkage to St. Paul's UMC in Castleton. I remember you walking with her at Annual Conference in Pawlet - with her instead of in your assigned position in the parade of preachers. That told all of us that your relationship with her and, to a lesser degree, with all of us unordained folks, was more important than hierarchy and privilege.
