Anastasia Victoria Pricenski, 99, of Ogunquit, ME, formerly of Ipswich, MA, died peacefully Monday evening, February 19, 2018 at Sentry Hill in York, ME surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law. She was born in Granville, NY on October 13, 1918, the last surviving of 12 children born to Sebastian Peter and Julianna Katherine (Pyenta) Kaszuba. Anastasia graduated from Granville High School, where she graduated with honors and was the class salutatorian.

On September 17, 1939, she married Theodore John Pricenski. They shared nearly 70 years together until his death in 2008.

During World War II, Anastasia worked for Sylvania Electric in Ipswich, MA inspecting proximity bomb fuses for the war effort. She was then a Boutique Manager over a 21 year period, working in Ipswich, MA at both Tanya’s Gift Boutique and Sturbridge Yankee Workshop. Anastasia played both the violin and the organ, and loved all kinds of music.

Anastasia is predeceased by her siblings, Marion, Stephanie, Rozalia, Peter, John, Hedwig, Joseph, Paul, Andrew, Adam, and Julian.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Pricenski Sawyer and husband William of Ogunquit; two grandchildren, William Theodore Sawyer and wife Jennifer of Woodbury, MN; James Michael Sawyer and wife Gissel of Milford, CT; and four great grandchildren: Anastasia Joy, Katherine Grace, Victoria Lynne, and Vivian Gwendolyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells, ME followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish/St. Mary’s Church, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME. Burial will be in New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich, MA at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Should friends choose, memorial donations in her name are encouraged to: St. Mary’s Ecumenical Food Pantry, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME 04090.
