Doris Morrill Plante, 94, of Berwick, Maine, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 14, 2018.
She was born in Berwick on August 19, 1923, the daughter of Charles O. Morrill and Bessie (Farrington) Morrill.
Doris graduated from Berwick High School in 1940 and worked for a while at Davidson Rubber Co. and Singer Sewing Machine Co..
She was a kind, gentle, and strong soul. Her family was the highlight of her life and her greatest enjoyment was cooking for them. Her smile, infectious laugh, and loving personality will be missed by all…
Doris is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Odilon J. (Babe) Plante, Jr., her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by four daughters, Janet Canney (Carroll) of Farmington, NH, Caren Chandler of Berwick, Gale Hersey (Stanley) of Berwick, and Judith Fuller (John) of Tryon, NC; seven grandchildren, Jane Saucier, Jeff Saucier, Shawn, Darryl, Aaron, and Kyle Chandler, Andrew Fuller; seventeen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; a sister, Joan Prince of Berwick, a brother, Lawrence Morrill of Berwick, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2018 at 11 o’clock at the Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick.
