Kenneth Alfred McComish, Sr., 86, of Berwick, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Lawrence, MA on December 19, 1931, a son of Laban Ewart McComish and Elizabeth Harriet (Galeucia) McComish. He grew up in Lawrence, MA, before moving to Berwick in his Junior year of high school. He graduated from Berwick High School, Class of 1949.

Kenneth worked for several companies, including Prime Tanning, John Hancock Insurance, and General Electric, from where he retired in 1989.

He enjoyed playing golf and cribbage, and was an avid reader. Following Thais’ death in 1999, he eventually met Elaine Langlois, who became his cherished friend and partner. Together they enjoyed travelling and going dancing, sometimes 3 or 4 nights a week. Kenneth was also a member of BPOE for many years.

He is predeceased by his wife Thais McComish; his infant daughter, Holly Ann McComish, and a brother, Robert McComish.

Kenneth is survived by three sons, Keith McComish and wife Julie of Lebanon, ME, Kenneth McComish, Jr., and wife Sheryl of Laurel, MT, Scott McComish of Lebanon, ME; a brother, Bruce McComish and wife Gloria of Lyndeboro, NH; nine grandchildren, Cori Beth, Kevin, Megan, Nathan, Tasha, Shelli, Jennie, Ashley, and Kaitlin; six great grandchildren.

There are no visiting hours. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick. Should friends choose, memorial donations in his name may be sent to: Lincoln Terrace Home, Activities Fund, PO Box 7185, Rochester, NH 03839. Checks should be made payable to: As Life Goes On, LLC.
