Condolence From: Mary Elizabeth & David Jones
Condolence: Dearest Joan, jay, Chris, Michael, Colleen and Family
We are deeply saddened by the passing of a wonderful neighbor and friend. The Corello family certainly have a cherished and memorable history with Jay and all of you. We would see Jay walk the beach and the neighborhood each day, always taking stock all was in its place. We will miss him greatly.
Although this is a difficult time for you all, you have a treasure-trove of fond memories you’ve celebrated together. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
In Sympathy,
Mary Elizabeth and David Jones

Condolence From: David L. Ramsey
Condolence: Joan, Colleen, Jay, Christopher and Michael (spouses and grandchildren),

The end of an era for our old Goose Rocks Beach neighborhood. May God bless Mr. O
(Papa Jay).

The Snow Goose was always open to the Ramsey's, O'Brien's, Phaneuf's along with many others. Mrs. O made certain of that. I often think of Billy and your lovely, elegant mother and a smile appears on my face. I wish to thank your entire family for making my summers in Maine so extremely special.

Your father took me water skiing for the first time in my life in Little River. He also let me drive a power boat for the first time and allowed me (along with so many others) to grab your Sun Fish for a sail any time desired. The ping pong tournaments were epic:) You grow older but you never forget the wonderful experiences of summers shared as a youth at Goose Rocks Beach. We lived in a golden age of Goose Rocks Beach. The large families congregating on the beach, playing hours of softball, running to Batson River and hitting every GRBA cookout in front of the Tides. Then eventually growing up to late nights out in the Port. I wouldn't alter a single minute.

Your father loved Goose Rocks. The Patriots and Red Sox lost one of their most faithful. While I'm sorry for your loss, I celebrate Jay P. O'Connor's life and legacy. I'm particularly thankful to know he saw his granddaughter Rose get married in his 90th year. Mr. O lived a full and complete life. Celebrate his loving children and grandchildren- any man's true legacy.

I depart Wednesday morning with Tracy to San Francisco to visit Sarah. Although I will be unable to physically attend your father's funeral Mass. Rest assured, I will be there in spirit.

Love,

David, Tracy, Jack, Sarah, Grace and Paul
