The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Daan Troost can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Carol Cayo
Condolence: I was so sorry to learn of Daan's passing. I have a second home in Cape Porpoise. I always enjoyed talking with Daan when I was walking my dogs or on my way to Bradbury Brother's Market. He was always very happy, friendly and had a positive outlook on life. I will miss exchanging greetings with him and seeing his kind smile.

Remember the good times and be thankful you were the lucky ones that had him for your father and grandfather. He shall be missed.

Carol

Condolence: Karen and Neil, I will remember both your parents with fondness. They were always friendly, kind to me and always interested in what my family was up to. Your dad went to so much effort to film different events leading up to, and the day of, Duane's and my wedding. That tape will always be special to me. I will remember his genuine smile and hearty laugh! I am thinking of all your family at this time. Fondly, Gail

Condolence: I worked with your Dad in the 70's and we have been friends ever since. He regaled me with stories of his children when you were growing up and later your accomplishments as adults as well as his grandchildren. I always looked forward to your mother's Christmas letter and the updates on the Troost family. He was a great guy, and I will miss his friendship.
