Lois Freeman Noyes
Lois Freeman Noyes 84, of Kennebunk, died April 17, 2018 at her residence in Kennebunk surrounded by her family following a long period of failing health.

Lois was born in May 26, 1933 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Earl Rider and Virginia Hahn Freeman. She is a graduate of Everett High School, Everett, MA, attended Framingham State College briefly before transferring to the former Nasson College in Sanford, earning her degree in Home Economics, and beginning her lifelong love of the Southern Maine area.

In her youth, she worked for five years at Geneva Point Camp in Moultonborough, NH during the summers, where she made many lifelong friends that have lasted till today.

Marrying the love of her life, Howard Noyes, together they raised their family in Kennebunkport, where she made their loving home on Wildes District Road. Once her family was old enough, she joined her brother, Dr. Earl (Bud) Freeman’s practice, where she spent 20 years managing his office in Kennebunk.

A member of South Congregational Church, she added to the church community in many ways, including her love of singing in the choir. Lois was also a member of Sweet Adeline’s’ Yankee Belles, Rainbow, Nasson College Alumni, and was a Mayflower descendent. Lois loved to sew and braid rugs, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren at any opportunity she could.
