Obituary for Phyllis Marie Daigle (Hebert)
Kennebunk
Phyllis Marie Daigle, 91, of Kennebunk, died peacefully early Saturday morning, May 19, 2018 at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Anson, ME on May 30, 1926, a daughter of Peter Joseph and Rosa Marie (Turcotte) Hebert. She grew up in Anson, where she met her future husband, Alfred Mack Daigle, as they attended school together. Following his return from World War II, they married and settled down. The family lived in Anson, then Peaks Island and the Portland area.
Phyllis was the best Mom ever. From gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, fishing, picking berries, baking; you name it, she did it, and did it well. She also enjoyed ocean swimming.
Phyllis is predeceased by her loving husband Alfred M. Daigle; a daughter, Cynthia Legere; and several siblings.
Survivors include her three sons, Raymond Daigle of Old Orchard Beach, Ronald Daigle of Durham, ME, Philip Daigle of Scarborough, ME; two daughters, Sandra Kleiner of Farmington, NH, Wanda Richmond of Limington, ME; two brothers, Norman Hebert of Madison, ME and Kenneth Hebert of Bar Harbor, ME; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
There are no visiting hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish/St. Martha’s Church, 30 Portland Road, Kennebunk. Interment will be on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
