Condolences

Condolence From: ROBERT W BUTT
Condolence: I traveled through my teen age and early adult life with Althie as a dear friend. She would visit me in her red convertible or her dad's green MG and we would just drive and talk. When she attended school in Switzerland we corresponded regularly. I have so many beautiful memories of my youth, due in a large part to her. Bless you, most wonderful friend.....

Condolence: My Mother was not what people think she was,she may have donated to all sorts of organizations but when it came to me and Graham she was terrible, she walked out on us when I was 11 and Graham was 9 and never looked back. What mother does that to her own children, not did she only do that she completely cut me and my brother out of her Will, not so nice is she. Will not be missed by me and Graham that is for sure. She used to beat me so badly that the wooden spoons would break on my backside. Never considered her a mother and never will!!!!!!

Condolence: I will miss you Althea. You were a true friend with a kind heart and a contagious smile. You loved your family and your animals and you asked so little in return. You were so much fun and you were also such a lady. I will treasure our years of fun, laughter and companionship. Rest in peace sweet friend.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss, Andrea. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. She was often my spinning partner years ago and I always enjoyed our conversations. She was a wonderful woman and was blessed to have you for a daughter, Andrea, as you loved her and were so attentive to her. I’m glad she is now at peace.

Condolence From: Francis C. Powers, Jr. (Flip)
Condolence: Sharing our great-grandfather. Althea was second cousin to me and siblings Diana, Arthur, Brian, Elizabeth and Christopher Powers. Our family enterprises and community upbringing on Long Island's North Shore brought us together from time=to=time and I wish I had known Althea better. Six years my senior, Althea was always my glamorous cousin...so attractive and blessed with a wonderful smile. Tom, Babs and Althea's children and grandchildren are in my thoughts. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

Condolence: Aunt Althea was a very special person. She will be dearly missed. My fondest memories of Aunt Althea were later in life when I was an adult, husband and parent. She was always so welcoming and kind to my family. She loved her daughter Andrea, her dog and cats so much. I will miss her and I am grateful for having known her.

Condolence: I never had the chance to meet Althea; but I have the privilege of considering myself a very good friend of Andrea. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Althea and I realize that Andrea is a reflection of that same generous heart and soul. May you find peace now and journey onto a place where you will forever be surrounded by all those you have loved and lost. Know that your light and love continues to shine in Andrea and your beautiful grandchildren. Love, Melissa
