Condolences

Condolence From: Joseph Py, DO
Condolence: I am saddened by Roger's passing. I had known Roger as a colleague for decades. Fist when we were members of the Committee on Physician Health, then at Discovery House, where I was Corporate Medical Director and where I continue to work. His service to our patients over many years, I have no doubt, resulted in his saving innumerable lives. Staffs of the clinics he worked in loved him. Discovery House owes him a debt of gratitude.
I will never forget his ending salutation when we spoke on the phone- "Don't forget to get out in the sunshine and play."

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I've known and worked with Roger for a long time, both at Mercy and Discovery House. I would often see him at conferences as well. He was unfailingly pleasant, always had a joke or a smile to share. We often exchanged notes and gossip about where we were working and if we knew of any jobs available. He was a good colleague and often helped out when I needed advice. More than that he was a kind and compassionate doctor. We both worked with a sometimes difficult population. His patients always felt cared for and respected. The addiciton community and the patients will miss him very much.

Condolence: Dr. Kendrick was my physician during my high school years in Kennebunk. He was kind and compassionate with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved his family dearly (I know this because I regularly mowed your lawn and saw him interact with his family). Please accept my condolences. He will be missed.

Condolence: I remember Roger from Siena College and shortly thereafter—he knew what he wanted
and he pursued it with gusto. He was a confident adventuresome spirit with a great sense of humor. Hard to lose an old friend after reconnecting after so many years.
Condolences to Linda, Roger Jr. and the rest of Roger’s wonderful family.
