Obituary for Carlton Stanley "Stan" Walker

Carlton Stanley "Stan"  Walker
Carlton “Stan” Stanley Walker, 78, of Kennebunk, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 12, 2018. He was born in Auburn on April 23, 1940, a son of Cephas Harland and Mary Evelyn Hilda (Leger) Walker. He grew up in Farmington, graduating from Farmington High School. Stan continued on to college, graduating from Farmington State Teacher’s College (now University of Maine-Farmington). Following High School, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic. Following his Honorable discharge from active duty, he began a career as a Salesman in the medical field and the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to retiring, he worked for the Maine Turnpike Authority.
Stan was the founding charter member of the Farmington Elks Club, and enjoyed his passion of playing golf through his life membership in the Biddeford-Saco Country Club. In addition to golf, he loved fly fishing and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Stan is predeceased by six brothers, Norman, Mark, Harland, Larry, Richard and Herbert; and one sister, Beulah.
He is survived by two sons, Garrett M. Walker and wife Monica of Rio Rancho, NM, Christopher Jon Walker of Kennebunk; his daughter, Jennifer L. Walker and husband Adam Dubay of Kennebunkport; two brothers, Tom Walker of Auburn, ME and Wayne Walker of Farmington, ME; two sisters, Carol Anne Walker of Columbia, SC, and Marianne Walker of Scarborough; five grandchildren (Matthew, Lucas, Ben, Daniel and Ashleigh), and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Stan’s wishes, there are no services planned.
