Condolence From: Diane & Ken Maltese
Condolence: Ken and I met Milt 50 years ago. Miltie was best man at our wedding and we made frequent trips from CT to Ogunquit in our younger years. Our last trip was six years ago, but we exchanged cards every Christmas. When we didn't receive one this past Christmas, we thought he might be traveling to warmer places.
We are going to Ogunquit next week and I was looking Miltie up hoping we could get together with him. We are shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. Rest in peace dear friend.

Condolence: Milty and I became friends when we were both 7-8 when I spent the summers in a rented duplex behind Charlies. We were constant companions with many activities like spearing flounders, catching crabs, jumping off the bridge and building rafts out of the dune fence boards....his parents thought I might be a bad influence on him although his mother feed us both hamburgers and fries....our friendship continued for nearly 60 years and we would regal ourselves reliving the our glory days. Milty looked thinner after his treatments this summer but assured me he was okay so his death was a very sad shock. I will miss my old and dear friend.

Condolence From: Roger W. Brown
Condolence: Milt, a friend in need. My four children (the oldest now 57) spent their summers working for Milt at Charlies. The experience from age 11 sweeping sand taught them about a career ladder. Each summer climbing to a new rung. Today, they are all highly successful. Then along came grandchildren. Some of them also worked for Milt at Charlies. Now college grads, we so often reminisce about those lessons learned. Thank you Milt, you will be missed by all the Brown's.
And Ogunquit will miss a great Historian. Rest in Peace Milty.

Condolence: Dear Angel, Alana, Marko, and Chris,

I am sorry for your loss. I knew Milty for over 60 years. I grew up spending summers in Ogunquit. My grandparents were Greek so we had that in common, and my family ran Bessie's Restaurant. We shared many great times during those summers before I left to a career as an educator. I ended up a professor at BU.

For me, Milty was my last link with Ogunquit of the 50s and 60s. He was helping me with a book of memories of Old Ogunquit. I will think of him everytime I visit Maine.

I am so sorry and very sad over Milt's passing. He will be missed by so many people. He taught me so much over the years and I always enjoyed my job at the Neptune. It's still hard for me to imagine him being gone. I will miss him so much. Please feel free to call on me if you need help with anything.
