Dateline – Sanford

Marion Adelle Knox, 92 years, of Sanford died January 22, 2017 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.

Marion was born on February 18, 1924 in Woolwich, ME one of fourteen children to Donald and Sarah (McIntyre) McEachern. In 1939 she married Arthur Roland Knox and they celebrated 55 years together until his passing in 1994. As a CNA, Marion worked at Mercy and York Hospitals and also did homecare for people in need.

In addition to her husband, Arthur, Marion was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly; her granddaughter, Juanita; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Judith Haldene, of Goffstown, NH; three grandchildren, James Haldane, Tammy (Haldane) Fitzpatrick and Judith Ann (Dixon) Torres; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Marion will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Sanford First Baptist Church, 905 Main Street, Sanford, ME. Interment will follow in the Spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook, ME.
