When I was growing up in Craigville, Mrs. Schumacher was the cool mother, who knew what we were up to as kids, and let us go ahead and have our adventures anyway. I got to know her in later years helping with the house in Craigville, and she had the same warmth and laughter I remembered as a child. We would meet in the early spring and talk about the families and then again in the late fall. She would lament that she was the last one still there and looking forward to heading south. I always looked at her as one of my best friends. Rest In Peace Mrs. Schumacher, and sincere condolences to all the family on your loss of this great lady.
