When we think of Henk - we think of all the great times we spent together. In particular our last trip to the East Coast to visit friends and enjoy the beauty of the area. Our 40 ft. RV pulled up to Henk and Diane's home in Wells. It wasn't long before we were shown through-out the beautiful house and of course Henk proudly pointed out all his beautiful pieces of furniture he had made. Perfecto for sure! That is the Henk we knew.
Later on a beautiful sunny September morning the four of us took off boating on the Atlantic..... right in front of us going at mock speed was the elder President Bush with the secret service not far behind. Henk shared with us some of the funny stories that were well known in the Kennebunkport area on President Bush and his boating incidences. We still chuckle when I think of the Secret Service trying to keep up with President Bush.
We also recall while at the Mt. Kenya Safari Resort in Kenya the guys laying pieces of bread from outside of our room to the shower where Donna was showering. The guys were outside and John continued to place the bread inside the room and up to the shower, in hopes they could encourage the big ugly stork that stood about 6 ft tall into the shower with Donna. Naughty Naughty but how funny to think back at all the laughter and fun we had on that trip. Buy the way...the stork didn't buy into the plot.
We are saddened to know we will never hear Henk again say "yeawh" (sp) again. It was infectious and delightful..
"Sorrow" is too small a word for what you're going through, Diane. We love you and trust you will have a few chuckles when you remember all the wonderful memories you and Henk made together.
God's Blessing to you and your family,
Love-John and Donna Tanzi
