Obituary for Christine Gale Stuart

Kennebunkport, Maine - Christine Gale Stuart, 59 years, a resident of Kennebunkport, ME died Friday evening Sept. 22, 2017 at Maine Medical Center, Portland after a brief illness.

Christine was born in Newport Rhode Island, a daughter of Paul D. and Carole (May) Forrest, Sr..

Christine graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School and was employed by the ALB Rubber Co. of Biddeford. Then she worked for Austin Hotel of Kennebunkport. Over the years she babysat her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed attending NASCAR races and Beech Ridge Speedway, going to fairs, camping and the outdoors.

Christine’s favorite thing to do was to sit outside in her lawn chair with her favorite book. She also loved playing Yahtzee with her husband. Christine always enjoyed being with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father Paul D. Forrest Sr..

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert L “Bobby” Stuart Jr. of Kennebunkport, ME; her mother, Carole Forrest of New Hampshire; two sons, Greg Stuart and his wife Sheila of Arundel and David Stuart and his wife Jen of Casco; a daughter, Trisha Stuart of South Portland, ME; six grandchildren, Kristopher, Taylor-Rose, Kyle, Danielle, Thomas, and Alyvia, one step grandson, Skyler; three brothers, Paul Forrest Jr. of Biddeford, Scott Forrest and his wife Angel of Saco, and Todd Forrest and his wife Mary of Germany; a sister, Heather Brownell and her husband Jeff of New Hampshire; a brother in law, Jim Cluff of Kennebunkport; a sister in law, Becky Gosselin and her husband Ray of Kennebunkport; her in laws, Ann and Arnold Cluff of Kennebunkport; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, Maine where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 PM. One of Christine’s favorite things to wear was blue jeans. So in her memory, if you wish, we would like everyone who attends to be comfortable and wear them… Burial will be private at a later date.
