Obituary for Agnes Ross Provencal (van den heuvel)

Agnes Ross Provencal (van den heuvel)
Dateline – Dover, NH

Born to a Dutch father and Scottish mother, Agnes Ross (van den Heuvel) Timmons Provencal was born in Biddeford, Maine, on December 4, 1932 and passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017. Mom/Grammy/Great Grammy spent most of her life in Dover, New Hampshire. A quiet, shy, generous woman, mom loved spending time on the nearby coastal shores of Wells and Ogunquit Maine. Reading, watching birds, enjoying roses and donating to charitable causes gave Agnes her greatest pleasures.

Agnes moved to Santa Rosa in her eighty-third year and continued her membership with the United Methodist Church. She was our Mom first, yet often adopted by her children's friends as their Mom too. Her good, warm sense of humor enhanced her quiet, shy approach to life.

Her four children will forever remember Agnes: Vicki Groninga (Curt), Sharyn Esposito (Andrew), Dirk Timmons (Debbie) and Tammy Caley (Jeff), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Agnes will return to Wells, Maine to be interred at a private family service. Her husband (Armand Provencal), father, mother and younger brother, preceded Agnes in death.

Her family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and therapists who attended her long stay at Sutter Hospital. The family is particularly thankful for the kind support of Reverend Lindsay Kerr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Agnes's name may be sent to the Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa, Calif., (refb.org).
