Kindly and Generous

Jeff was four years older than me; so on the docks at the AYC as kids taking sailing lessons, he could have been tough towards me especially because I was from the other club. Not Jeff. He was welcoming and had a kind of protective way about him- as I recall- like he would have had my back, if needed. It was never needed. This friendly way and that broad smile that would quickly appear was enjoyed for the many years as our paths would sporatically cross. I of course turned to him for insurance needs and was flabergasted once when he showed me how my homeowners policy actually covered what I was planning to get insured. He talked me out of a policy against his own interest!  I believe in heaven and I believe I will see you there, brother!
