Such a special friend

Dear Arthur, Chuckie and Jean,

Mike and I send our heartfelt sympathies to you all. No matter at what age, it is still so sad to lose your mom. Yvonne was one of my adopted "Aunts" since birth and I always enjoyed her company. Our last visit was in Florida in November and she was so sharp - filling me in on the news of your families and always eager to hear the news of mine.

She was a great friend to my Mom for so many years even into Mom's years of dementia. Yvonne would visit her at Huntington Common and once I asked her what they talked about (because I knew my mom had really lost her capacity to carry on a conversation) and your mom responded: "When you have known each other as long as we have, you don't have to talk to be comfortable together." Now that's a true friend!
