Obituary for Marlene L. Ingraham (Landry)

Marlene L. Ingraham (Landry)
Dateline – Kennebunk, ME

Marlene L. Ingraham, 60 yrs, of Kennebunk, died peacefully on September 23, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, following a brave 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Lewiston on February 6, 1956, the daughter of Rosaire N. and Theresa A. (Asselin) Landry. She grew up in Lewiston where she graduated from Lewiston High School.

Marlene began working as a teller at the former Casco Northern Bank, working her way up to branch manager. She then applied for a managerial position with Unum Insurance but was told she did not have the requisite education and experience for the job. Marlene then applied for an entry level position at Unum. From there, over the next 28 years, she worked her way up to the position of Vice President of Group Life.

Her family was her everything. She enjoyed spending time with her husband bowling, going out for dinner and wine, and vacationing in Bethel yearly to celebrate their anniversary.

Time with her daughters was spent shopping, taking trips to the beach in the summer, and decorating her home for the seasons. Plants and flowers could always be found well-tended to.

The Christmas Season meant everything to her. This was evident through her decorated home, grand Santa collections, meticulous Christmas tree and a jolly obsession with Christmas music.

She is predeceased by her parents.

Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, Edward A. Ingraham of Kennebunk; three daughters, Meg Kondi of Wellesley, MA, Stephanie Ingraham of Kennebunk, Michelle Ingraham of Wells; two brothers, Kenneth Landry of Clermont, FL, Gary Landry of Lewiston; three granddaughters, Charlotte and Reece Kondi, Ivy Marlene Ingraham, who was named in honor of her “mimi.”
